According to ITNewsAfrica, donors can contribute
to the relief program by going to the Paybill menu
on the Airtel Money
app, then select “Other” in the payment options and subsequently fill in
“Redcross” as the business code, the amount they’ll like to donate ,
their PIN and “Garissa” as reference.
The funds raised through this channel will be sent to the Red Cross’ relief effort in the country.
The
money raised will be given to the victims of the attacked by gunmen
linked to the Al-Shabaab terrorist group who stormed the Garissa
University College in Kenya on April 2.
