held on March 28th that brought forth General Muhammadu
Buhari as President Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Despite the low turnout, skirmishes, riot and loss of lives in
some states, election held yesterday in various states all

LAGOS
With over 90% of votes collated across Lagos state
Saharareporters can conclusively state that Akinwunmi
Ambode of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won
majority of votes cast during Saturday’s gubernatorial
election in Lagos state.
Mr. Ambode defeated Jimi Agbaje of the People’s
Democratic Party (PDP) to become Governor-elect. The
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will
announce final official results later today.
KWARA
In Kwara state, the contest between the APC and the PDP
sees the APC leading with a large margin – Berikodo PU.
