Some religious leaders have promised to hold a joint
rally to endorse the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential
candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, for the forthcoming elections.

The members of the clergy, led by Archbishop Leonard Kawas and
Sheik Dan Zanga, said they were in support of the administration of
President Jonathan and applauded the PDP-led administration for
transforming the nation in all sectors.
They cautioned politicians against desperation for power as they noted: “Quran and the Bible agree on the fact that only God gives power.”
In his remarks, Dr Ahmadu Ali, who was represented by Prof Tunde Adeniran, expressed the appreciation of the PDP presidential campaign organisation for the prayers and support of the religious leaders since the beginning of the electioneering process.
