A man who has been parading as a Catholic priest has been arrested in Enugu state.
The suspect who gave his name as Reverend Fr. Joseph Archibong claimed he was posted from Lagos State to Enugu.
Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, the spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, who confirmed the arrest in a statement made available to newsmen, said 'the
suspect was nabbed on March 30 when he reported to the Catholic
Diocesan secretary and the chancellor of the cathedral for posting to a
parish as a Reverend Father, having presented himself as a priest'.
It was later learnt that on further enquiry, it was discovered that the suspect is a dismissed seminarian later identified as one Jude Amadi.
Amaraizu added that 'the suspect is helping the operatives in their investigations just as he has attributed the act to devil'.
