The widow of Chief Christopher Adube, the assassinated All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain in Obrikom community in ONELGA, Rivers State, Madam Adube has accused the Chairman of the PDP in the state, Felix Obuah of ordering the murder of her husband.
Daily post reports that, Some gunmen had stormed the home of Adube Friday evening at Obor-Obrikom in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni, killing him, his sons and leaving several others injured.
The gunmen were also reported to have killed five other supporters of the APC in the same community and razed down the house of another party Chieftain.
Narrating the incident to journalists at Omoku, Madam Adube said the gunmen mentioned the nickname of the PDP Chairman, ‘Go round’ before shooting her husband and other young men in the house.
She said: “Around 7 pm, I was discussing with my husband in the parlour when some people came into the house. I don’t know any of them. They came straight to my husband and said ‘I think dem don tell you sey make you commot for APC enta PDP you refuse. Na Go Round send us to come find you’. ”
“On hearing Go Round, my husband tried to run then they started shooting him.
Meanwhile, one of the sons of the APC leader who survived the attack, Chamberlain Adube in his narrative said he heard more than 50 rounds of gunshot.
