academic session.
This comes with the restructuring of the university grading system by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
WE gathered that the pass grade is abolished under the new system.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) Prof. Abdullahi Zuru, who revealed the development at the institution's 2014/2015 matriculation ceremony, the minimum pass mark is now a D-grade.

this means is that the minimum pass mark for courses in the

previous 40 per cent which was E-grade while the minimum class of grade
to be earned by the students will be now be Third Class," Zuru said.
Zuru added that no university will graduate a student who falls below the Third class, which is the D-grade,
Before this new development, students could graduate with the E-grade.
