It was a special weekend of the English Premier League as we witnessed a slew of jaw dropping gaols.
Igists brings you the top five goals of the weekend.
5. Alexis Sanchez
At number five is Arsenal's marauding forward, Alexis Sanchez who added a third goal to Liverpool's trashing at the Emirate.
The Chilean received a pass from Aaron Ramsey, cut Liverpool defender Kolo Toure before smashing a serving effort away from the diving Simon Mignolet and into the roof f the net.
The Gunners scored some good goals against their top 4 rivals but Sanchez's effort tops them all.

4. Jermaine Defoe
Jermaine Defoe's volley in 1-o victory over rivals Newcastle was even applauded by the opposition goalkeeper Tim Krul.
The former Tottenham man lashed home a volley with his weaker left foot on the stroke of half time to score a goal that will be remembered in the Tyneside derby for a long time

3. Bobby Zamora
Booby Zamora might not be a great goal scorer but it is beyond doubt that he is a scorer of great goals.
The Queens Park Rangers striker displayed great composure and awareness to flick the ball over Boaz Myhill to double the his team's lead in the 4-1 victory over West Brom.

2. Wayne Rooney
It is now funny that three months ago, Louis van Gaal didn't see Wayne Rooney as a striker.
How he will be laughing at that philosophy now.
The Manchester United captain claimed the ball from the air off a Di Maria  cross to smash it past Aston Villa's Brad Guzan on a half turn.
It was a technically wonderful strike that shows a man playing at his best position.

1. Charlie Adam
The best goal of this weekend in the English Premier League is without doubt the 66 yarder by Stoke City's Charlie Adam.
The Scot got the ball in his own half, just before the half way line, looked up and sees Chelsea's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois off his line and smashed a shot which beat the Belgian goalie.
Goal of the season that is.
Just hand him the award.
