Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) increased heavily in
popularity over the last decade, so its not surprising that most car
manufacturers included them in their product portfolio.
Even
premium brands like BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche are selling
hundreds of thousands SUVs every year, but now Land Rover has set a new
milestone in terms of pricing: the Range Rover SV Autobiography
cost a whooping $199,495 which is $40,000 more expensive than the
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S!
The interior is
luxuriously furnished with custom made metal details and well crafted
combination of textured and brushed aluminum, veneer wood and pile
mohair to give a superb look to the interior cabin.
The rear seat is designed to look like that of a private jet equipped with foldout work tables and even beverage chiller.
The trunk is filled with a sliding luggage floor made of veneer and aluminum, once inside, you’ll think you are airborne!
Besides
the luxury, the SUV is packed with the most powerful engine –
supercharged 5.0 litre V8 that pushes 550hp and 502 lb ft of torque,
which are 40hp and 41 lb ft more than the standard supercharged
model.
It comes with an 8 speed automatic
transmission with overdrive, 4 wheel ABS, integrated navigation
system, side seat mounted airbags, curtain 1st & 2nd row
overhead airbags, airbag occupancy sensor, automatic air conditioning,
21” aluminum wheels, cruise control, distance pacing, ABS and driveline
traction control to mention just a few.
The exterior is styled beautifully to include a new front grille finished in graphite and polished chrome.
Unfortunately the Range Rover SV Autobiography will not hold the title as the most expensive SUV for long.
