Nine persons have been confirmed dead after unknown
gunmen stormed Obrikom and Obur communities in Rivers state on Saturday
the 4th of April.
According to a statement by the
Rivers state PRO, Ahmad Muhammad,
the gunmen attacked the community,
killing 6 persons instantly while 3 others died on arrival at a hospital
where they were rushed to for medical attention.Two other persons are reported to have been injured and are currently receiving medical attention. The gunmen also set the home of a politician, Vincent Ogbagu, who is running for a seat in the state House of Assembly in the April 11th election, on fire
