About 1,000 men have been arrested in India for impersonating candidates in physical fitness tests for the police, BBC reports.
According to reports from the state police, the men had been hired
to pass themselves off as the candidates.
The arrests were made over the last 2 weeks, as documents produced by the men were found to have been falsified.
Last
week, photos of parents helping their students cheat in the country
went viral, more than 300 people, mostly parents, were arrested after
the publication of the pictures.
This time around
though, about 52,000 people had been selected for the physical fitness
test, with the state government hoping to recruit around 12,000 police
constables from their ranks.
