A certain gas tanker was said to have offloaded the
content in its tank to a nearby gas station.
Shortly after,
it was said to be moving to the nextstation to supply but unfortunately, the truck couldn’t ascend the slope and the tank got disengaged from the body of the truck.This led to the spill of the remaining highly inflammable content in the tank which flowed like a river to the Abattoir.Due to the early morning activities of slaughtering and burning of animals at the abattoir, there was a
sudden explosion, with the fire spreading wildly with thick smoke billowing covering the bright
morning sky.The driver was said to have been burnt to aches, acertain Keke Napep driver unfortunately drove into the fire too and another guy who was waiting to buy
meat.
After an hour, the fire fighters came around to perform their statutory duty but the miscreants around forbade them from putting out the fire because as usual, they arrived at the scene late.Some of the animals meant for slaughtering burntin the inferno with properties claimed to be running into several millions destroyed.
