A couple who took their security man as their brother has been rewarded with by the man in the most heinous manner.
A couple, Mr and Mrs Samuel Ekpesi, who thought they had employed a good security guard,
Paul Onazi, to protect their property from thieves, have learnt the
hard way that their man was actually their nemesis as he turned round to
rob his employers of their car, a Toyota Camry, jewelries, and other valuables.
The
couple who had provided a 28-year-old Benue State born Onazi, with an
accommodation in their Gowon Estate, Egbeda, Lagos, home, were shocked
to discover to their chagrin, that had absconded with their property on
Sunday, 25 January, 2015, before they came back from church service.
In
a report made to the police by the victims, Onazi, a 200 level
undergraduate of the University of Lagos, whose admission was
facilitated by his employers, had broken into the couples apartment and
made away with foreign currencies, laptops and phones, among other
valuables, valued at N9m.
The shocked couple told
the police that they were astonished that Onazi who has been living with
them for years, could commit such an act.
The
police on its part, swung into action and were able to trace the culprit
who was arrested and has been charged to the Ojokoro Magistrate's Court
on a five count charge bordering on burglary and stealing.
