A 16-year-old student at John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson, New Jersey, has been suspected and slammed with assault charges after he attacked his 62-year-old Physics teacher.
The school's principal of operations, David Cozart, said the student flew into rage and violently confronted his teacher because the latter confiscated his phone during class.
The student went out of control and wrestles his 62-year-old teacher to the classroom floor while other students watched.
A
23-second video recorded by one of his classmates and uploaded on
YouTube shows that the unruly student beat the aged teacher down,
slammed him into a desk and seemed to hit him severally.
None of the other students tried to help the aged teacher but some of them verbally asked the attacker to 'chill'.
"Someone help him'!" of the students said.
According to school officials, the student has been suspended and charged with assault.
